We do have a list of associates who have provided aspects of service for weddings over the course of time. These range include for example, piper, pianists, string quartets, bands, cake makers, florists, chauffeurs, makeup artists and we consider each and every one of them to provide a great standard. These are our own recommendations and as such it is left entirely to the bride and groom to determine if they can assist with the big day.
BAND
Weare delighted to recommend the services of Banana Row Music Services (BRMS), who we specifically promote as Balbirnie’s ‘in-house’ bands. It is important to mention that BRMS are not agents, they are a collective of specialised musicians who offer customised music services.
It all started many years ago with the superb Callanish, now a very regular placement for the evening entertainment in Balbirnie’s Millenium Ballroom.
At Balbirnie we do get to see many aspects of live performance from bands. Quite simply, in our considered opinion, the services offered by BRMS are the best by a country mile, and if they perform at your wedding you will be guaranteed a fantastic night. At the end of the day, from Balbirnie’s perspective all we are after is to have delighted clients, and across the span of many hundreds of events BRMS have delivered every time.

CALLANISH already have a long-standing history of playing for literally multitudes of special gatherings at Balbirnie. Extremely versatile, Callanish blend the perfect mix of ceilidh with pop, rock, soul, funk and swing classics. They pride themselves in their professionalism and versatility. Versatile? Previous gigs have included the opening of The Scottish Parliament, a background contemporary celtic set for world leaders at The G8 Summit, and all of Balbirnie’s last 10 annual Hogmanay celebrations.
THE CAPITALS exude style and panache. Blending soul, funk and disco classics guaranteed to inject some groovin’ into your event.
ABSOLUTE are an exciting pop, rock and party band guaranteed to add a shot of energy and high spirit to your event and keep the dance floor movin’.
THE REGALS perform a sophisticated and versatile jazz, blues and swing collection. Any size from a duo to a large ensemble.
CEILIDH BILLY perform a high-energy contemporary ceilidh set packed with great dances, and don’t worry, they have a caller. Ceilidh Billy come as a 3 piece and can include a disco package.
All bookings for any of the above bands to play at Balbirnie should be made via Balbirnie's wedding co-ordinator.

Balbirnie is delighted to be able to offer our own white chair covers at a special price of £3.00 per chair. Please note ties and sashes are not included and would have to be hired in from another company. Silver Events has a lovely selection available and are delighted to hire out without their chair covers. The cost for set up and dressing is included in the hire charge of £3.00 per chair.
Please note that we charge £1.00 per chair if chair covers are not supplied by Balbirnie or Silver Events and we are required to put on the chair covers and ties. Also note that we have a maximum of 115 armless chairs available. If your final guest’s numbers are greater than this, you will also need to hire additional chairs.
This company bring in staff to the hotel to put on chair covers, so no charge from hotel applies.
